What is included in second opinion medical services?
These services include but are not limited to:
a consultation between the referred worker and appropriate medical specialist
initial telephone feedback to the worker’s treating GP after the consultation
a short 1-2 page, clinically focused, written consultation summary containing advice and recommendations for improving patient recovery and functioning.

when a patient’s recovery has stalled

A second opinion medicine service will not provide:
medico-legal opinion
advice about claim liability.
